3 Remove the following:
a Memory risers
b Cooling fans
c Memory riser blanks, if installed
Steps
1 Slide the cage handle lock in the direction of the arrow.
2 Holding the cage handle in the unlocked position and rear handle, lift the memory riser and fan cage away from the system.

Next steps
1 Install the memory riser and fan cage.
NOTE
: Before installing the memory riser and fan cage, ensure there are no loose cables from the hard drive backplane. If
the cables are not latched, the cage will not seat rmly into the chassis.
2 Install the following:
a Memory risers
b Cooling fans
c Memory riser blanks, if installed
3 Follow the procedure listed in the After working inside your system section.
