• Two injector retaining clip styles are available. The revised design
shown in Figure 3-6 improves assembly of the injector and clip to the
fuel rail and is therefore preferred over the original clip design.

3.3.6 Seal rings
Seal rings for injectors (refer to Figure 3-5) are made to withstand
temperatures ranging from -40
o
C to 150
o
C (-40 to 302
o
F) without
leakage or seeping. They must also be resistant to varying amounts of fuel
additives to fuel (i.e., ethanol, etc.). The following are currently available
seal rings designs. Please contact a Delphi representative if the specific
sealing requirements are not met by these designs:
