7.2.2 Controlling RTU-ECAT’s Right-side Modules via PLC
After the configuration of the entire network is finished by following the steps above, create the PLC
program to control the modules on the right of RTU-ECAT.
1. Select “PLC” on the left list of the TwinCAT software, right click on “PLC” and select “Add New Item” to add
a PLC project.
2. Select “Standard PLC Project” from the new PLC project list, enter a name for the project and then click on
the “Add” button.
