Set Up Your Display Devices
5.1 Introduction
In the previous chapter, you received a high level overview of the Dexcom G5 and learned you
can monitor your glucose levels with different display devices. Now it’s time to set up your
G5 Mobile app and your receiver.
After this chapter, you will be able to:
• Create a Dexcom username and password
• Download the G5 Mobile app
• Set up the G5 Mobile app with the recommended settings
• Successfully set up your Dexcom G5 receiver
5.2 Safety Statement
If you’ve used the Dexcom G4 PLATINUM CGM System, you might still have its transmitter or
receiver. While you can use the sensors across the different generations (look for the Dexcom
G5/G4 PLATINUM sensor package), you can’t mix the transmitter or receiver between the
two systems.
