Connect charger to DigiShot
®
Plus 4G Commander.
Connect charger to correct power supply.
Detonators should never be connected while charging.
The DigiShot
®
Plus 4G Commander should be charged for at least six hours prior to a blast.
While the Commander is plugged in and charging, the Power button can be used to toggle
between low (500mA) and high (2A) charge rates. The low option (500mA) is the
default charging rate.
Turn Off by disconnecting the charge cable, wait a few seconds and then press the Power
button.
Store the DigiShot
®
Plus 4G Commander in a cool, dry place, with an ambient temperature of approximately 21 °C.
It is recommended that the DigiShot
®
Plus 4G Commander be charged to 50% when placed into long-term storage,
and thereafter the unit should be charged to 50%, at least every six months to maintain the expected lifetime of the
battery.
The DigiShot
®
Plus 4G Commander may be kept on charge for extended periods as the DigiShot
®
Plus 4G
Commander will manage the battery.
The DigiShot
®
Plus 4G Commander can draw current of up to 2 Amperes during charging.
The Commander will start broadcasting corrections wirelessly to the CE4 Tagger when the GPS Receiver hardware
has been activated and configured with the true position of the GPS antenna. The D-GPS Settings option allows
setting the location of the D-GPS Base Station Antenna in the Lat, Long, Alt (LLA) format.
THE COMMANDER SOFTWARE WILL DISABLE CHARGING OF THE BATTERY BELOW 0 DEGREES C TO
PROTECT THE BATTERY. BATTERIES WILL NEED TO BE WARMED UP TO ABOVE 0 DEGREES CELSIUS
BEFORE INITIATING CHARGING.
NOTE THAT THE INTERNAL TEMPERATURE AS DISPLAYED ON THE INFORMATION SCREEN IS OBTAINED
FROM A SENSOR THAT IS LOCATED BEHIND THE SCREEN, WHICH IS HEATED IN COLD CONDITIONS. THE
BATTERY IS LOCATED TOWARD THE BACK OF THE UNIT, WHERE THE TEMPERATURE IS LIKELY COLDER
THAN THE VALUE DISPLAYED. TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THAT A VALUE HIGHER THAN 0 DEG C MAY NEED
TO BE DISPLAYED AND A POWER CYCLE MAY ALSO BE NECESSARY BEFORE CHARGING IS RE-
ENABLED.
