The system will display a reprogram error should dets be
disconnected after programming and reconnected afterwards.
The user can view the errors on the Bench Commander by
pressing the # button. The system will allow the user to continue
with arming on the Base Commander, but the Commander will
display the error message in grace, charging but the fire buttons
will be greyed out in the fire menu.
A ‘partial tag’ event occurs when the information from the
Tagger is not properly written to the detonator during the
tagging event i.e. the detonator is not fully tagged when the
user removes it from the Tagger. This could also be as a result
of the connector being removed too quickly from the pogo pins,
or due to an intermittent or poor contact between the detonator
connector and the pogo pins. In such a case, the user must re-
tag the detonator to confirm a successful tag.
In practice a ‘partial tag’ event may also be reported as ‘bad
status’ in subsequent testing of the detonator. The
recommended procedure is to re-tag a detonator reporting ‘bad
status’, to confirm a successful tag.
If repeated re-tagging of a detonator does not correct the ‘bad
status’ result, then the unit is either damaged or faulty and must
be replaced.
All detonator errors encountered after programming on the Bench Commander will be
synced and displayed on the Base Commander with the relevant Bench Commander ID.
