Press key to switch ON the CE4 Tagger.
Press key while holding the key to switch the CE4 Tagger OFF.
To save battery power, the CE4 Tagger turns off automatically after a set period of idle operation. The auto power-
off time may be adjusted, within limits, by the user.
The Esc key is used to cancel and escape out of selected options.
The key is a function key that is used in conjunction with other keys to perform specific functions.
The USB connector port will allow for charging of the battery and for software upgrades and communication with a
PC.
To perform a software upgrade, plug a flash drive containing the new software version into
the USB connector while the CE4 Tagger is switched off. Hold down “any key” (Except the
key) and then press the power ON button This will place the CE4 Tagger in
bootloader mode and start the download of the new software. Follow the on-screen
instructions to complete the software upgrade.
The CE4 Tagger uses a rechargeable 3.7V Lithium Polymer battery. Consult Section 5.7 for more details on the
CE4 Tagger battery, charging and maintenance procedure.
Audible feedback operates as follows:
• A specific audio sample is played during the boot-up process
• A positive acknowledgement sound accompanies successful tasks
• An error acknowledgement sound accompanies errors or automatic power-off after a software timeout
• An informational sound accompanies other noteworthy events to draw the user’s attention to the screen.
NO DETONATOR SHALL BE CONNECTED TO THE CE4 TAGGER WHILST THE TAGGER IS CONNECTED TO A
CHARGER.
