3.8 Test 018: Testing the Pressure Sensor Paw and
Triggering the Minute Volume Valve
No control of the minute capacity valve occurs in this test. If no key is pressed, the motor will
stop. You can open or close the minute volume valve by pressing the Info key or the Reset
key.
Caution:
The minute volume valve might get stuck. To avoid this, do not
move the minute volume valve completely to its mechanical stops.
Carefully open or close the minute volume valve.
Test Setup
ext. Manometer
-30 to 120 mbar
• Set the mode switch to IPPV.
• Select the Extended Service Mode (ESM).
• Press the Reset key or the Info key to select Test 018.
• Press the Info key and the Reset key simultaneously to activate Test 018.
