Gear shift is performed by controlling the oil pressure in the piston chambers and unlike the selection piston, it
uses a second electrovalve instead of a spring.

In both cases, the positioning of the piston is monitored by a magnet and a position sensor, where the magnet
is attached to the piston and sends a magnetic eld that is picked up by the position sensor.
As the piston moves, there is a change in the magnetic eld picked up by the sensor due to the distance variation
of the position sensor reference point.
The TCU receives the position sensor information and performs the action that is most appropriate.
