20. In the UPM section (see B in Figure 4-10), locate the coiled RJ45 CAN cable. Remove the wire ties
securing the harnesses to the interior left side panel of the UPM section. Route the harnesses
through the round wiring access in the right side panel of the ISBM section (see B in Figure 4-10).
21. In the ISBM section, locate the J39 inverter CAN connector on the PI1 interface board and connect
the RJ45 CAN cable connector to the J39 connector (see Figure 4-11 and Figure 4-12 on page 46).
22. Secure the interface harnesses in place with wire ties as necessary to prevent wire damage.
23. When all wiring is complete, reinstall the safety shield panels removed in the previous steps.
24. Reinstall the front wireway panel.
25. If installing a UPS with a Field Upgrade UPM, proceed to Section 4.3; otherwise proceed to the
next step.
26. If installing a battery system, proceed to Section 4.4; otherwise, proceed to the next step.
27. If installing a tie cabinet or distribution panel for a distributed bypass system, proceed to Section
4.5. Otherwise, proceed to Section 4.6 to complete the wiring of the UPS.
