4-1 Inspecting air fi lter
1. Remove air cleaner cover.
2. Remove pre-air fi lter (A) and air fi lter (B).
3. If pre-air fi lter (A) is dirty, wash the fi lter in a suit-
able cleaning solvent. Do not use compressed air.
4. If air fi lter (B) is dirty, clean the fi lter with com-
pressed air or wash in a suitable cleaning solvent.
NOTE:
Air filter should be dried completely after
washing.
NOTE:
To clean air fi lter with compressed air, blow
dirt away carefully and thoroughly by widening the
fi lter grooves.
WARNING DANGER
Wear eye protection when working with
compressed air. Eye damage can occur from
fl ying particles.
5. If heavily soiled or damaged, replace air fi lters
with new ones.
4-2 Inspecting fuel cap and fuel strainer
1. Remove fuel cap and inspect the cap for cracks.
2. Inspect Fuel cap gasket (A) and connector (B)
for cuts or damage.
3 Replace them with new ones as required.
4. Pull out fuel strainer (C) from fuel tank using a
wire hook (D).
5. Inspect fuel strainer (C).
6. Clean or replace as required.
