6-1 Separating fan case assembly
1. Loosen four precoated bolts (A) and washers to
remove fuel tank band (B) and fuel tank (C) (Refer
to “5-1 Removing backpack frame assembly”).
2. Remove two tapping bolts (D) holding spring (E)
and spring holders (F). Spring holders (F) easily
slide out of backpack frame slots (k).
3. Remove engine cover (G) and air cleaner case (H).
4. Loosen 11 tapping bolts to separate fan case
assembly.
5. Remove engine side fan case (J) from guard
side fan case (L).
