6-2 Replacing elbow
1. Remove engine side fan case from guard side
fan case (D) (Refer to “6-1 Separating fan case as-
sembly”).
2. Remove end (e1) of anti-static lead.
3. Remove elbow (C) with O-ring (A) from guard
side fan case (D).
4. Replace elbow, O-ring and anti-static lead if de-
fective.
5. Assemble spacer (B) and guard side fan case
(D).
NOTE:
Insert projection (d1) of guard side fan
case (D) in hole (b) of spacer (B).
6. Insert O-ring (A) to elbow (C) and apply lithium
based grease to all around O-ring (A) lightly.
7. Insert elbow (C) with O-ring (A) to guard side
fan case (D).
8. Set end (e1) of anti-static lead in guard side fan
case slot (d2) certainly, through elbow (C).
9. Wind the other end (e2) of anti-static lead sev-
eral times.
