The safety regulations and required protective clothing (PPE) must be
complied with when working with chemicals. Attention must be paid to the
information included on the product data sheet of the dosing medium used.
During or prior to maintenance and repair work:

Use only original spare parts.
– Depressurise the pressure line.
– Disconnect the dosing medium supply and clean the system thoroughly.
– Unplug the mains plug or disconnect all power sources, and secure against
accidental re-activation!

Damage to property due to unsuitable tools
Use of unsuitable tools can cause damage to the control unit.
–
Use only the correct tools!
– Keep tools clean and in perfect condition; replace damaged tools!
Careful maintenance and inspection enable faults to be found and corrected at an early
stage. This helps maintain the value of the control unit, prevent failures and improve the
reliability of the control unit.
Maintenance includes the following periodic work:
n Inspection
Inspection consists of a regular inspection of the control unit and the elimination of
possible causes of wear
.
n Recalibration
Recalibration consists of the regular monitoring and adjustment of the parameters of
the control unit according to operator specifications.
n Repair
Repair consists of reconditioning and replacing damaged components to prevent
personal injury or damage to the control unit.
The control unit must be maintained by service personnel depending on wear and
according to the maintenance schedule.
The service life of the control unit depends both on the service life of the components
used and on the maintenance work being carried out properly
.
The operator is obliged to provide a maintenance log and keep it at the control
unit. All service work and all faults and damage found must be recorded in the
maintenance log.
