Tire Wheel Size Calculation
Method 3) Distance Measurement:
For the most accurate measurement, use wheel size measure-
ment from Method 2 or set the wheel size to 1700 for lifted carts
(20-22 inch tires) and 1435 for stock 18 inch wheels.
1. Find a length of road where the distance is known. (GPS is a
best choice for accurate measurement).
2. Drive the distance and note the distance on the speedometer
display. For example, the road is known to be 5 miles and the
speedometer reads 4.95 miles. (drive more than 2-3 miles)
3. Use the numbers to solve for X in the following equation:
Enter the new number from above method into the Speedometer
(Described later in this booklet) Record this number below.
