Storage
Use the f
ollowing procedure to store the T-Staon 85.
1. Shut down the T-Staon 85 as described in Stop the pump with the turbo screen on
page 19.
2. Isolate the T-Staon 85 from the electrical supply and disconnect it from the vacuum
system.
3. Drain the oil from the backing pump (only applicable to the E2M1.5 rotary vane pump)
as described in the instrucon manual, (refer to General descripon on page 10).
4. Place protecve covers over the inlet and outlet anges.
5. For the fastest pump down aer the T-Staon 85 is reinstalled, seal the
turbomolecular pump inside a plasc bag together with a suitable desiccant.
6. Store the T-Staon 85 in cool, dry condions unl required for use.
