a. Type R spindles are standard spindles supplied with RV1-R/RV2-R Viscometers.

c. Spindle R1 is used for measurement of samples having low viscosity. The spindle guard must be used with
this spindle in order to obtain correct viscosity readings. Because models RV1-R and RV2-R are normally
used for medium viscosity ranges, the spindle R1 is not very frequently used, therefore is not supplied as
standard equipment with your Viscometer. However, it is available on request; See “Spare parts and acces-
sories” on page 28.
