18.2 Running a batch
1. Lower the Viscometer spindle into the test sample.
2. Click on ‘Manual’ and then press ‘Start’ on the Viscometer.
3. The measurements and charts will be shown in real time.
4. If necessary, adjust the content of the chart X and Y axes to show the information you require.
5. Click on ‘Stop’ when you have obtained enough measurements.
6. Review the measurements/charts. If you are not happy with the results, click on ‘Clear’ to clear
the measurements and start the test again.
After you have stopped the test you can:
• review readings
• review charts
• create reports
• export readings to Excel or csv files
• print, create pdf or email charts and reports.

Note: The instructions in this section apply to RV2 models only - RV1 models can only be used in
manual mode.
19.1 Setting up a batch
The first section of the procedure is identical to the instructions given for operation in manual mode:
1. Click on ‘New’ and select ‘New Batch’.
