3 TAKING A READING
3.1 Before you start
• Are you using the correct type of probe?
See “Probes” on page 35.
• Is the probe calibrated?
See “Calibration adjustment” on page 23.
• Do you require statistics?
See “Statistics” on page 32.
• What units of measurement do you want to use?
See “UNITS:” on page 21.
3.2 Procedure
1. Press key to switch on gauge.
2. Place probe on surface to be measured. The
reading may be inaccurate if the probe is not
held as shown in Figure 8.
