If no charging / discharging bar is connected to the respective plug con-
nection of the generator, the connection must be closed with the blind plug
provided.
3.7 Disconnecting the high voltage cable
Warning!
Electric shock hazard!
Work may be carried out only if:
• the supply voltage to the generator has been disconnected,
• the machine is at a standstill because the bars pick up charges if the
material web is running.
3.8 Connecting the supply voltage
To make sure that no high voltage is applied at the bars when the machine
is not running, the supply voltage to the generator should be enabled via a
machine contact which disables the high voltage when the machine is at
rest.
Warning!
Electric shock hazard!
Work may be carried out only if:
• the supply voltage to the generator has been disconnected
• the machine is at a standstill because the bars pick up charges if the
material web is running.
3.8.1 Connecting the supply voltage 24 V DC
The supply voltage of the high-voltage generator is connected to the
24 V DC supply network via the 4-pin circular connector.
Caution!
The 24 V DC power supply to be used must be tested according to the EN
60950-1 or EN 62368-1 standard / must meet the applicable PELV (pro-
tective extra low voltage) or SELV (safety extra low voltage) requirements.
