The "Define access code" sequence
1)
Define access code
Navigation Expert → System → Administration → Define access code → Define access code
Expert → System → Administration → Define access code
Write access Maintenance
Description Define user-specific access code in order to protect the device against unintended changes.
Input range 0 to 9 999
Factory setting 0
Additional information If the factory setting is not changed or 0 is defined as the access code, the parameters are
not write-protected and the configuration data of the device can then always be modified.
The user is logged on in the role of Maintenance .
The write protection affects all parameters marked with the symbol in the
document. On the local display, the symbol in front of a parameter indicates that the
parameter is write-protected.
Once the access code has been defined, write-protected parameters can only be
modified if the access code is entered in the Expert → Enter access code parameter.
Please contact your Endress+Hauser Sales Center if you lose your access code.
For display operation: The new access code is only valid after it has been confirmed in
the Confirm access code parameter and after the user has returned to the main
screen (measured value display).
