ZERO POINT ADJUST This function enables a zero point adjustment to be automatically carried out. The new
zero point determined by the measuring system is written to the ZERO POINT function
(see page 65).
Options:
CANCEL
START
RESET
Factory setting:
CANCEL
" Caution!
Before carrying out the calibration, please refer to BA 057D/06/en “t-mass 65 Operating
Instructions” where a detailed description of the zero point adjustment is given.
! Note!
• Programming is locked during zero point adjustment and the display shows: “ZERO
ADJUST RUNNING”.
• If the zero point adjustment is not possible, due to unstable flow conditions, then the
alarm message “ZERO ADJUST NOT OK” is shown on the display.
• After Zero point adjustment is completed, the new zero point can be called up with
theF key. If the F key is pressed again, you return to the ZERO POINT ADJUST func-
tion.
• RESET restores the factory calibration.
• If the transmitter is fitted with a status input, then the zero point can also be activated
by using this input (see Page 48).
INSTALLATION FACTOR Use this function to enter a value to compensate for disturbed flow caused by fixed instal-
lation effects e. g. bends, reducers etc. Enter a higher value to increase the flow output
value. Enter a lower value to decrease the flow output value.
User input:
5-digit floating -point number
0.0000 to 2.0000
Factory setting:
1.0000
! Note!
This function provides a constant scaling factor to the measured flow value and therefore
affects the calculated flow output signal.
Output flow = measured flow x installation factor.
PROCESS PRESSURE Use this function to enter a value for the gas process pressure. The system calculates the
thermodynamic properties of the gas at the entered process pressure and measured gas
temperature.
! Note!
If an external pressure input is used via the CURRENT INPUT function, then the entered
value is over-written by the input signal value.
User input:
5-digit floating-point number
Factory setting:
1.0130 [bar a] or 14.692 [psi a]
(country dependent, → Page 71 ff.)
! Note!
The appropriate unit is taken from the function UNIT PRESSURE in the function group
SYSTEM UNITS (see Page 11).
