7.2 - TOWING THE MACHINE
• We emphasise that this is a difcult and dangerous operation because of the weight of the
machine, the fact that it is tracked and the friction generated.
• When the machine is to be towed, use a metal cable that is strong enough to tow the machine.
DANGER:
If the machine becomes stuck, the negative brake of the gearbox can be released. To do this, remove the
motor and the cover of the gearbox and disconnect the internal joint.
In any case, the weight of the machine and the fact that it is a tracked vehicle makes it difcult to tow. It is
therefore recommended to lift it.
WARNING :
Make sure that the machine cannot move before disconnecting the wheel gear units. The ma-
chine should therefore be secured via the winch (optional) or the lifting points on the carriage
and/or the tracks blocked with wooden wedges.
Place a suitable container under the gear unit to collect the oil.
