4.2.5 CR Unit removal
1. Remove the Housing from the printer. (Refer to 4.2.1 “Housing removal”)
2. Disconnect the Print Head FFC from the CR unit. (See steps 2 ~ 7 in 4.2.4 “Print
Head removal”)
3. Remove the CR Scale Spring which is applying tension to the CR Scale, and
remove carefully the CR Scale from the Main Frame.
4. Loosen the CR Timing Belt by pushing the Driven Pulley Holder to the right, and
remove the Timing Belt from the pinion of the CR Motor.

5. Remove the Driven Pulley, by pushing it downward, from the Driven Pulley
Holder.
6. Disengage the hooks which fasten the PG Lever to the Main Frame, and remove
the PG Lever.

C A U T I O N
T Do not touch the CR Scale with bare hands. Otherwise, the
surface of the CR Scale can be soiled or flawed, thus the
operation of the CR Unit may be adversely affected.

T When removing the timing belt, take care not to damage the PF
