2.11.2 Static Electricity
The insulin pump system is resistant
to normal levels of static electricity (ESD)
but high levels of shock may cause a
software reset which can interrupt insulin
delivery.
ESD are more likely in situations
where the relative humidity is very low,
such as inside a heated building during
the winter in areas where it is cold
outside. If you suspect that your pump
has failed, follow the instructions listed in
Section 16: Alarms and Troubleshooting.
