10.3.1 Fingertip Testing
Adjust the penetration depth of the
lancing device to reduce the level of
discomfort.

Remove the lancing device cap. Insert
the lancet into the lancet holder until it
comes to a complete stop as indicated in
Figure 86.

Twist off the safety cap from the lancet,
(Figure 87) and save the safety cap for
lancet disposal.

Carefully install the lancing device cap
onto the lancing device, avoid touching the
lancet needle tip (Figure 88).
