7.3 Optimizing the Antenna Alignment
The following procedure assumes that:
• The antenna is already aligned using the alignment camera.
• The radio link is configured according to Configuring Radio Link.
You can optimize the antenna alignment in the following ways:
• Using Commissioning Guide.
• Using a voltmeter, described in this section.
The voltmeter is used to measure and find the maximum alignment value
during the alignment procedure.
To optionally achieve a more exact alignment, do as follows on both sides of
the hop:
1. Turn on the far-end transmitter:
end; config slot1 ct 1 far tx-admin-status on
2. Turn off the near-end transmitter:
end; config slot1 ct 1 near tx-admin-status off
Note: This command ensures that the ATPC function in the far-end
transmitter uses the maximum output power configured for the hop.
