3.1.1 Test function
In a measurement period, U2836 can test two parameters for an impedance
component. Parameters that can be tested are as follows:
Primary parameters
 |Z| (Module of impedance)
 L (Inductance)
 C (Capacitance)
 R (Resistance)
 G (Conductance)
Secondary Parameters
 D (Dissipation factor)
 Q (Quality factor)
 Rs (Equivalent Series Resistance ESR)
 Rp (Equivalent Parallel Resistance)
 X (Reactance)
 B (Admittance)
 θ (Phase Angle)
Test results of primary and secondary parameters are respectively displayed in
two lines in the form of upper-case characters. The primary parameter displays in
the upper line while the secondary parameter displays in the lower line.
Operation steps for setting test function:
1) Move the cursor to FUNC
zone, the following soft keys will be displayed on the
screen.
 Cp—D
 Cp—Rp
 Cs—D
 Cs—Rs

2) Select and press a softkey to set test function. If the softkey you need is not
displayed on the page，press More to display the following softkeys.
 Ls—Q

 Lp—Q

3) Select and press a softkey to set test function. If the softkey you need is not
displayed on the page，press More to display the following softkeys.
