Troubleshooting guide
Fault observed
No display on screen.
No beep when equipment powered
up.
No welcome screen.
The image displayed is poor.
One or more heads are not
functioning.
Operation is not correct.
Readouts are missing. Obvious incor-
rect operation.
The readouts are not picked up and
you have a error message on the
screen.
The readouts are wrong.
Readouts are wrong following
steering sequence.
Remote control has no effect.
Printer obviously functioning incorrectly.
Diagnosis
Failure of power supply.
Failure of connection at back of
main unit.
No contrast, brilliance, image
shifted to one side, not centred.
The life diode (red LED at end of
bar) is blinking.
The electronic level is operating.
Rim runout impossible.
Steering sequences impossible.
On what vehicle? Short or long
wheelbase?
Has the infrared data link beam
been interrupted?
Has rim runout compensation been
performed correctly?
Are the plates reacting correctly?
Vehicle conditioning, pedal press,
steering wheel lock.
Steering wheel turned too far.
Pressing keys has no effect.
No printout.
Printing head runs but does not
print.
Characters printed different from
normal ticket printout.
Action to be taken
Check the equipment power plug.
Check the on/off switch.
Check connections (cf. GTR connec-
tions).
Check monitor settings.
Check cable connections
(equipment to cables) on the head
and main unit sides.
Check radio units.
Check that the correct heads are in
place on the correct wheels.
Check the position of the push
button (long/short vehicle).
Check the presence of lifting
equipment, etc.
Check the cleanliness of bar end
plates.
Check the presence of steering
wheel lock and that wheels are
hanged.
Check plate positioning and condi-
tion. Are they too close to the deck?
Are they jammed? Are balls
missing?
Reduce steering angle.
Configuration 10° or 20°.
Check remote control battery and
replace if necessary.
Check power, on/off switch, PC/
printer data cable.
Check ribbon:
Position correct?
Quality OK?
Check configuration (call hotline
desk if necessary).
