15 - Maintenance precautions
- Change the 9V battery (6R22) in the remote control
when pressing the keys is no longer effective or after
one year.
- Never use corrosive or abrasive products to clean
the equipment: cabinet, heads, front panel, screen,
etc.
- Clean the bar terminations of the heads regularly
with a soft cloth and natural soap if necessary.
(WARNING. Do not scratch this)
- Avoid water splashes near the equipment.
16 - Verifications and tests
Use the “Other functions” menu (see the “System Use”
section).
Check that all chosen configurations are those
requested.
If you have any doubts as to measurement accuracy:
- Go to “Functions”
- Select “Maintenance”
- Select “Self-test”
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
Like any other measurement system, the calibration of
your GTR.600 should be verified every year.
17 - Troubleshooting
When the system is powered up, error messages may
be displayed.
- CMOS memory size mismatch
- RUN SETUP UTILITY
- Press <F1> to RESUME
- DRIVE NOT READY ERROR
- Insert BOOT disquette in A:
- Press any key when ready
- No operating system
- FDD controller failure
- HDD controller failure
- Press <F1> to RESUME
- HDD controller failure
- Press <F1> to RESUME
- General failure: cannot read drive A
Abort, Resume, Fail?
- HDD IS NOT IDE
- Keyboard error
- Press <F1> to RESUME
- CMOS CHECKSUM Error
- SYSTEM BATTERY IS DEAD
- Press <F1> to RESUME, <F2> to enter Setup
In the case of all these messages, please take note of
the exact text displayed on the screen.
- Call the After Sales Department (the contact details
are on the last page).
If, following an operator error, the application hangs,
or if the key is pressed in error and you acti-
vate the Windows “
Task
Bar
”:
- Press the and keys simul-
taneously in order to deactivate the “
Task Bar
”. This
operation is mandatory to regain control of the
GTR.600 application and if it is not done you will
continue to be unable to use the program.
If a printer error (printer not powered, no paper, etc.)
has occurred, a message will be displayed indicat-
ing the problem. After rectifying it, to deactivate the
Task Bar
”, press the and
keys simultaneously.
