Pre-Operation Checklist
Before operating the equipment for the first time
and each time thereafter, check the following items:
1. Lubricate the equipment per the schedule
outline in the Maintenance Section.
2. Check the hitch for damaged, loose or missing
parts. Repair as needed before operation.
3. Check the tines for damaged, loose or missing
parts. Repair as needed before operation. Clear
out any tangled material.
4. Fully clean the equipment.
5. Inspect all safety reflective decals, slow moving
vehicle decals and lights where applicable.
6. Verify that the Tedder is properly connected to
the tractor with the safety chain.
WARNING
AVOID INJURY OR DEATH
Wear safety glasses to prevent eye injury when
any of the following conditions exist:
• When fluids are under pressure.
• Flying debris or loose material is present.
• Engine is running.
• Tools are being used.
To prevent serious injury or death from moving
parts:
• Keep hands, feet, hair and clothing away
from moving parts.
• Disconnect and lockout power source before
adjusting or servicing.
Tractor Requirements
The tractor must satisfy the following requirements,
depending on model.
Pull-Type Hitch Models:
• Recommended 20 HP
• Tow style hitch
• Rear auxiliary hydraulic outlets
Three-Point Hitch Models:
• Recommended 20 HP
• Three-point universal hitch with hydraulic lift
• Rear auxiliary hydraulic outlets
WARNING
• Do NOT exceed 540 RPM PTO.
• Keep PTO shields and all guards in place.
• Keep away from moving parts.
• Keep bystanders away.
