Verify safety chain is installed and properly
connected before transporting equipment.
Verify that the SMV (Slow Moving Vehicle) emblem,
all lights and reflectors are clean and visible [Figure
34].
Transporting
Always comply with federal, state, local and
provincial laws regarding the transport of farm
equipment on pubic roadways.
The tines must be lifted sufficiently off the ground
during transportation.
Three-Point Hitch: Act on the tractor hydraulic lift,
and raise the equipment about 16—20” (40—50
cm) from the ground.
Pull-Type Hitch: Turn the adjustment lever to reset
the rotary unit tilt, until parallel with respect to the
ground.
WARNING
AVOID INJURY OR DEATH
• Disengage PTO for road travel.
• Keep PTO shields and all guards in place
• Keep bystanders away.
• Do not allow riders.
• Always use hazard flashers on the tractor
when transporting unless prohibited by law.
• Always follow local regulations when
transporting on public roadways. Check
with your local authorities.
IMPORTANT
Do not exceed 20 mph (32 km/h).
