5. If you installed a new DIMM, clear the CMOS (see page 57).
Make sure to remove the AC power cable from the power outlet before opening the E100 and
clearing the CMOS.
To clear the CMOS, remove the battery (see page 34), wait two minutes to allow the
motherboard electrical components to fully discharge, and then reinstall the battery
(see page 34).
To ensure compatibility between the new component and the previous settings stored in the
BIOS, you must clear the CMOS after installing a new DIMM.
6. Reassemble the unit and verify functionality (see page 18).
If you installed a new DIMM, make sure to reset the date and time in Setup. To verify
memory capacity, print a Configuration page to check the amount of memory recorded.
