Symptoms and solutions
See the following table for various problems and possible actions. For the solutions to a
specific error, find the symptom in the table and perform the appropriate suggested actions.
Verify functionality after each step. Proceed to the next step only if the problem persists.
For example, in the steps:
1. Check and reseat the copier interface cable between the E100 and the copier.
2. Replace the copier interface cable.
Perform step 1, and then verify functionality. If the problem is solved, do not perform step 2.

NOTE: If the E100 is turned on and hanging on a diagnostic code, first perform the following actions to see if they fix the problem:
1. Press and hold down the power button on the E100 for 5 seconds until the green light turns off and the system powers off.
2. Wait another 30 seconds.
3. Press the power button once to restart the E100.
4. Wait approximately 5 minutes to see if the E100 reaches Idle.
5. If the problem persists, make sure that you have reseated internal cable connections and verified system components.
