Backing up the system configuration
If you back up the system configuration, you can restore it after you reinstall system software.
When you back up the system configuration, you save a configuration file with E100 settings.
If you cannot create a configuration file, ask the network administrator to archive custom
color profiles, preflight templates, FreeForm masters, custom Paper Catalog entries,
customer-installed fonts, and the Job Log to removable media or a network location.
TO BACK UP THE SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
1. Ask the network administrator to print the Job Log, Configuration page, and Font List
(if possible).
For more information, see “Printing E100 pages on page 19.
2. On a client computer, right-click Fiery Bar. In the shortcut menu, click WebTools.
3. In WebTools, click Configure > Launch Configure.
The Login dialog box appears.
4. Enter the Administrator password, and then click OK.
The default Administrator password is Fiery.1 (case-sensitive), but the network administrator
may have changed the password.
5. Click Server > Backup/Restore, and then click the Backup Fiery Settings button.
6. In the Save dialog box, select the settings that you want to back up, enter a file name and
location, and then click Save.
