7.7 Adjusting the current locked
heading
When the autopilot is in Auto mode the current
locked heading can be adjusted from the Pilot
Control dialog and from the Pilot Bar.
With the Pilot Bar or Pilot Control dialog displayed:
1. Use the Left Arrow icon to decrease the current
locked heading, or
2. Use the Right Arrow icon to increase the current
locked heading.
7.8 Disengaging the autopilot
Caution: Disengaging the
autopilot
On integrated multifunction displays that
do not have a dedicated pilot button,
in an emergency the autopilot can be
disengaged by pressing and holding the
Power button.
Disengaging the autopilot (Standby
mode)
The autopilot can be disengaged by following the
steps below.
With Pilot Control enabled on your MFD:
1. Select Standby.
2. For Wheel and Tiller drive systems see below
instructions for disengaging the mechanical drive
to return to manual steering
Wheel Pilot: Disengage the wheel drive clutch
by rotating the clutch lever anti-clockwise (so
the lever disengages fully from the locating
pip.Attention Always reach around (not
through) the wheel to operate the clutch lever.
Tiller Pilot: Remove the drive unit from the
tiller pin. If necessary, extend or retract the
pushrod by selecting Auto from the Pilot
Control Dialog and using the Left Arrow and
Right Arrow to adjust the rod’s position.
On wheel drive systems, always make sure that
the clutch is fully disengaged before you leave the
vessel.
