Controller Operation
This section discusses Bath temperature controller operation with the front control panel.
Use the front panel to:
monitor the Bath temperature
set the temperature set-point in degrees C or F
monitor the heater output power
adjust the controller proportional band
set the cutout set-point
program the probe calibration parameters
operating parameters
serial and IEEE-488 interface configuration
controller calibration parameters
Figure 4 summarizes operation of the primary functions.
Bath Temperature
The display normally shows the actual Bath temperature. The temperature units are on the right.
For example,
25.00 C Bath temperature in degrees Celsius
Push EXIT to access the temperature display function from any function.
Reset Cutout
If the over-temperature cutout triggers, the display flashes Cut-out. The message flashes
between the actual temperature and
Cut-outuntil the temperature reduces and the cutout is
reset. See Cutout.
When the cutout is active and cutout mode is set to manual (reset), the display flashes
Cut-out
until you reset the cutout.
To access the reset cutout function, push SET.
1. Push SET, the display prompts
rESEt ?.
2. Push SET again to reset the cutout.
The display changes to the set temperature function. To return the display to temperature, push
EXIT. If the cutout is still in the over-temperature fault condition, the display continues to flash
Cut-out. The bath temperature must drop a few degrees below the cutout set-point before the
cutout can be reset.
