Danger from electric current if the power source is connected to the mains
electricity supply during installations.
This can result in serious personal injury and damage to property.

Before starting work, switch off all the devices and components involved and
disconnect them from the grid.
▶
Secure all the devices and components involved to prevent unintentional re-
starting.
Commissioning
the power source
Requirements for operating the power source:

Analog interface installed on the power source or
-
Profibus interface installed on the power source
IMPORTANT! A power source with an installed slave interface can only be opera-
ted in parallel in connection with a master power source (power source with in-
stalled interface).

If the power source is not already fitted with an analog or Profibus interface:
Install the appropriate interface in accordance with the interface operating
instructions on the power source

Connect the control lines from the plasma process control to the interface in
accordance with the interface operating instructions
NOTE!
Minimum palsma current cable cross-section = 16 mm²

Connect the plasma current cable correctly to the current connections of
the power source
NOTE!
Before connecting the power source to the mains supply and switching it on

no command value must be set on the control side (command value = 0
V)
▶
the start signal must be inactive (Start = LOW)
If a command value is set or there is a start signal before switching on
the power source, a configuration error will occur and ERROR CFG will
be displayed. The error ERROR CFG can be cleared by resetting the
start bit twice.
