Commissioning
the power source
- parallel confi-
guration
With a power requirement > 10 kW, two or more power sources will need to be
used in parallel.
Requirements for operating the power sources in parallel configuration:
-
1 master power source (power source with installed analog or Profibus inter-
face)
+
-
1 or more slave power source(s) (power source with installed slave interface)
IMPORTANT! A slave power source can only be operated in connection with a
master power source.
1
If the power source are not yet fitted with interfaces:
-
Install analog interface or Profibus interface on the power source as de-
scribed in interface operating instructions
-
Install slave interfaces on the other power sources as described in inter-
face operating instructions
IMPORTANT! Power sources without an installed interface are comple-
tely identical. The only difference between the master power source and
the slave power source is in the appropriate interface.
NOTE!
When configuring power sources in parallel, ensure that the LHSB connec-
tions and the Arc bus connections are not mixed up. If they are mixed up,
only one power source may work.
2
Connect the LHSB ports on the master power source and slave power source
together using the LHSB cable provided with the slave interface.
IMPORTANT! An LHSB hub is required for operating a master power source
in parallel with several slave power sources.
3
Connect the Arc bus ports on the master power source and slave power
source together using the LHSB cable provided with the slave interface.
