Care and maintenance
General remarks Under normal operating conditions the power source requires only a minimum of
care and maintenance. However, it is vital to observe some important points to
ensure it remains in a usable condition for many years.
WARNING!
Danger from electric current.
This can result in serious personal injury and damage to property.

Before starting work, switch off all the devices and components involved and
disconnect them from the grid.
▶
Secure all the devices and components involved to prevent unintentional re-
starting.
WARNING!
Danger due to insufficient ground conductor connection.
This can result in serious personal injury and damage to property.

The housing screws provide a suitable ground conductor connection for
grounding the housing.
▶
The housing screws must not under any circumstances be replaced by other
screws without a reliable ground conductor connection.
Every start-up

Check mains plug and mains cable as well as all other cables on the device
for signs of damage

Check that there is a gap of 0.5 m (20 in.) all around the device to ensure
that cooling air can flow and escape unhindered.
NOTE!
Air inlets and outlets must never be covered, not even partially.
Every 6 months
CAUTION!
Danger from pressed air.
Risk of damage to electronic components.

Clean electronic components from a certain distance only.

Dismantle machine side panels and clean machine inside with dry reduced
compressed air

If a lot of dust has accumulated, clean the cooling-air ducts.
