Activating/deactivating the safety function
Safety function
for immediate
stop, dependent
on an external
device
Die BIAS 300 Plasma has a safety function, which, dependent on an external de-
vice or control, immediately switches off the power source.
The external device or the control transmits a signal to the power source via fibre
optic cables: If the fibre optic input „Arc In“ on the power source is lit up, this
indicates that the external device or control is ready.
When the light goes out, the safety function of the power source immediately
switches off. As soon as the fibre optic input „Arc In“ lights up again, operation of
the BIAS 300 Plasma power source can resume.
The safety function is activated or deactivated by jumper X15 on the MM_ARC
PCB inside the power source.
