7 Install the Long wave SFP+ module (16Gbit/s).
(1) Remove the connector cover attached to the port of the Long wave SFP+ module (16Gbit/s) and open
the lever.
Keep the removed connector cover in a safe place where they will not be lost.
(2) Check the direction of the Long wave SFP+ module (16Gbit/s) and insert it all the way into the port
gauge.
(3) Close the Long wave SFP+ module (16Gbit/s) lever downward.
8 Connect the FC cable that is disconnected in Step 5.
Connect the FC cable connector to the FC port on the Long wave SFP+ module (16Gbit/s).
• When connecting the FC cables, position them so that they will not obstruct re-
placement of the power supply unit or controllers by the maintenance engineer.
9 Repeat Step 5 through Step 8 to replace multiple SFP+ modules (16Gbit/s).
10 If a wrist strap is used, remove the wrist strap.
11 Turn on the ETERNUS AF.
Refer to "Powering On
" (page 36) for details on how to turn on the ETERNUS AF.
12 Check that the PORT LINK/FAULT LED for the FC port on the replaced Long wave SFP+ module (16Gbit/s)
turns off or lights up green.
13 Start ETERNUS Web GUI to check the status of the newly added Long wave SFP+ module (16Gbit/s).
On the Internal Parts information in the [Channel Adapter Details] screen of ETERNUS Web GUI, check that
the FC port status is Normal and the SFP type is changed to "16G SFP+(SMF)". In addition, confirm that all
of the other components are in normal status.
