• Mounting a CIFS shared folder from UNIX/Linux by specifying "cifs" in the "mount" command is not
supported.
• When accessing with a Solaris OS client, there are combinations with the network environment where
connections may not be possible. The following table shows connectibility.
OS
Connectibility
IPv4 environment IPv6 environment
Solaris 10
¡
´ (*1)
Solaris 11
¡ ¡
¡: Connectable, ´: Not connectable
*1: The client port number must be less than 1024 in order to connect to the NAS port of the ETERNUS DX. For Solaris 10
clients, because the port number is 1024 or higher, it cannot connect to the NAS port of the
ETERNUS DX.
During the configuration phase
• To use the NFS client in the ETERNUS DX, apply the latest patch or errata.
If the patches or errata are not applied, the NFS mount may fail, an I/O error may occur, or a file lock
takeover may not be possible.
The following is an example of patches and errata.
NFS protocol OS Patch or errata
NFSv3 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.6 or later
NFSv4.0 Solaris 10 150401-21 or later
Solaris 11 SRU16061 (Oracle SRU11.3.9.4.0) or later
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1 RHSA-2015:1534-1
During the operation phase
• If the load of the NAS system is high, NFS access may fail.
If an error occurs, re-execute the application with the NAS client.
