2.6.4 Managing Drive Firmware
Drive firmware can be updated on multiple drives of the same type at the same time. Drive firmware can only
be updated from the remote panel. Each drive will only accept appropriate firmware.
To see the firmware version currently installed on the drives, navigate to the Status > Drive Status screen.

■ To update drive firmware from the remote panel
Procedure
1 Navigate to the Maintenance > Software Upgrades > Drive Firmware screen. The tape drives
are organized by drive type.
2 Expand the appropriate drive type and select one or more of the tape drives.
3 Click Browse, and then select the file from the local computer.
4 Click Submit.
