Inserting the ExpressCard
Keep the placeholder for the ExpressCard in a safe place. If you decide to remove the
ExpressCard again you w ill need to insert the placeholder for the ExpressCard into the
slot ag ain. This prevents f oreign objects from getting into the E x p ressCard slot.

► If the e ject button (1) is recessed, press it
once so that it disengages. Now press the
eject button again so that the placehold er
protrudes s lightly from the notebook.
► Pull the placeholder for the ExpressCard
out of th e slot (2).

► Insert the c ard into the slot guide with
the conn ection contacts first.
► Gently push the ExpressCard into the slot
either until it will go no f urther or you feel it
engage. Do not use excessive force.
Depending on the particular type used,
the E xpressCard may protrud e slightly
from the Expres sCard slot.
