2. Daily Test
2.1 Procedures
1. Press [3/TEST/DEF] key on DSC stanby screen or Radiotelephone setting screen.
2. The test automatically starts. No canceling during self-test.
3. It takes 30 to 40 seconds to finish the test. Then, the distress signal receiving alarm LED flashes, and
the buzzer and external speaker sound.
4. The test results are displayed.
If a printer is connected, the test results can be printed out by pressing [8/PRINT/TUV] key.
Note)
The default setting of DAILY TEST in PRINT OUT submenu of “Setup menu” is “MANUAL”. To
print out the test results automatically, set it at “AUTO”. The printed date and time is the NMEA data
(ZDA) from the navaids.

5. Pressing [CANCEL] key. Then, the screen returns to the standby screen.
