2.1 Outline of the setup
Pressing [#/SETUP] key on DSC stanby screen reveals “Setup menu” screen.

-ALARM : Sets signal receiving alarm and position update alarm.
Their default setting is ON.
-AUTO ACK : Sets comply type to ABLE or UNABLE. The response of POSITION CALL
and POLLING CALL are can be turned ON or OFF. The default setting of
comply type is ABLE, and POSITION CALL and POLLING CALL
response are ON.
-ERASE : Deletes the transmitting/receiving LOG and channels registered as User
Channel (USER CH).
-MESSAGE : Stores transmitting messages up to 150 files. Group ID is an ID of Group call
message.
-POSITION : Sets ON/OFF of position data acquisition. The default setting is AUTO.
Set DIP switch (S5-4) on CONTROL/MODEM board.
-PRINT OUT : Sets printing mode in DSC transmission/reception and daily test. The default
setting is MANUAL.
-SCAN FREQ: Selects DSC general watch keeping scan frequency and DSC distress watch
keeping scan frequency.
-USER CH : Stores user channels for telephone, NBDP, and DSC.
-TEST : Test menu. Refer to “Section 5: Test Functions”. Password is required to
execute this menu.
-SYSTEM : System settings: Be sure to check the system settings.
To set this menu, password is required.
