Chapter 2 Block Description
1. Overview of front panel
Functions of respective keys are described below. Each key serves to enter numeric/alphabet and
change function. Numeric input is used for inputting numeric of data, and Numeric/Alphabet input is
used for inputting a file name when registering a message.
- [TEST/3/DEF] : Daily test
- [IntCom/4/GHI] : ON/OFF of INTERCOM on radiotelephone setting screen
- [ACK/5/JKL] : Switching Auto/Manual of ACK on DSC normal (standby) screen
- [SCAN/6/MNO] : ON/OFF of scanning of DSC general frequencies on DSC standby
screen
- [SOUND/7/PQRS] : ON/OFF of buzzer and external speaker
- [PRINT/8/TUV] : Printing of communication log, registred file, and send/receive message
- [DIMMER/9/WXYZ] : Adjustment of dimmer and contrast of LCD
- [LOG/0] : Opening LOG file of sent and received messages on DSC standby screen
- [*FILE] : Opening SEND MESSAGE FILE on DSC standby screen
- [#SETUP] : Opening SETUP MENU on standby or setting screen
DSC standby screen changes into radiotelephone
setting screen, and frequency changes into J3E
2182 kHz when the [RT 2182] key is pressed for
more than 2 seconds.
Radiotelephone setting screen
changes into DSC standby screen,
when the [DSC ABC] key is
pressed.
