The LINE FIL Board is a EMC line filter in the line between external equipment connectors and the
CONTROL/MODEM board.

Overview
The CONTROL/MODEM board consists of the main control circuit and modem circuit.
The main control circuit consists of the main CPU (MB91101:FR30), Flash ROM for program,
EEPROM to store communication log and system setting, RAM, and SI/O and PI/O circuits.
The MF/HF radiotelephone, NBDP terminal, and DMC are connected with RS-232C or RS-422, whose
choice can be set with a DIP switch.
The modem unit consists of the CODEC, DSP, Flash ROM circuit for programm and serves to encode
or decode DSC messages.
The MF/HF radiotelephone and modem are communicating by the AFSK signal of 1700Hz +85Hz,
100bps (7 bits/3 bits parity). The modem and main CPU communicate in 8 bits hexadecimal data
through SIO.
Further, signals received from the DSC watch keeping receiver PCB and DSC general watch keeping
receiver PCB (or signal received from the MF/HF radiotelephone) can be decoded at the same time.
Program of DSC and modem is stored in the Flash ROM, and it may be updated with an MS-DOS PC
or IB-581.
A battery to back up memory is not used. To clear the SRAM, turn off the unit and turn it on again.
Data such as system settings and communication log are stored in the EEPROM.
