When navigational aids are connected, set this item at “AUTO”.
The position data and time data are combined with such messages as DISTRESS CALL, INDI-
VIDUAL CALL, and POSITION CALL. When this item is set at AUTO, the data from the connected
navigational aids is automatically taken in and displayed. The precedence order of NMEA data
acquisition sentences is “GGA, RMC, RMA, GLL, and ZDA”.
When this item is set at MANUAL, the position and time data are entered manually.
MANUAL data have precedence over AUTO data.
If AUTO or MANUAL input data are not updated for more than 23 hours and 30 minutes, these data
will be deleted from the message.
